There are 3 key areas this initiative will focus on:

Helping us complete the launch of our new nonprofit, ForMidtown. ForMidtown will provide spiritual renewal, tutoring, counseling, meals and much more for at-risk families.

WHY IT MATTERS

  • A CHILD WHO IS NOT READING AND DOING MATH AT THE APPROPRIATE LEVEL BY 3RD GRADE IS TWICE AS LIKELY TO END UP INCARCERATED.
  • Experiencing trauma, neglect, or abuse makes a child over 50% more likely to be arrested, and 40% more likely to be incarcerated as an adult.
  • children who live in a dangerous environment often go to extreme measures in order not to be perceived as weak.
