YURIY AND MADISON PEREKOTIY
Serving in Ukraine
Since June 2008
We are the Perekotiys - a half Ukrainian, half American family! We met in Ukraine in 2008 at a summer camp for children, and then, we got married in the United States in 2011. We lived in Ukraine for one year before moving to the Gulf Coast of Alabama. We have three beautiful children: Chambers (2013), Lev (2015), and Mila (2016). The Lord made it clear that he was assigning us to live and make disciples somewhere outside the United States. After 2 years of seeking and preparing, in April 2018, we packed up our gang and moved to Odesa, a beautiful, historic port city on the Black Sea! Our heartbeat has always been caring for the vulnerable and fatherless, and we know how important it is to do this through the local church. Our vision is to see Christ proclaimed and worshiped as we serve the community in Odesa. We partner with a Ukrainian organization to serve at-risk families, orphans, and children with special needs. We are also learning Russian Sign Language as we prepare to serve orphanages, boarding schools, and camps for children who are deaf. We are committed to serving 3 years in Ukraine, and we are praying and seeking the Lord’s plans for the time after that.
